Production facility
Our 13,000 sq ft manufacturing facility is located just south of Birmingham and comprises two main cells, one for the production of industrial battery packs (see Steatite Batteries), and the other for computer assembly and testing.
Production process
Each system will be hand built and tested by one of our highly skilled and experienced production engineers, with various checks made throughout the build process to ensure the system will be meet the spec required. To ensure reliability of our systems, full antistatic precautions are observed throughout the production of every PC, via a combination of antistatic worktops, flooring and wrist/foot straps.
We can preinstall a range Microsoft Windows operating systems, that can also include customer specific configurations and software to further reduce the amount of work required on each system once delivered.
Testing
Our goal is to provide the most reliable systems of any embedded PC supplier. To enable us to do this, every PC that we build goes through a range of stringent tests and checks before shipment, these include
- Testing of all I/O ports
- CPU, RAM, drive and video burn in tests
- Soft and hard reboots
Once tests are complete, each system is checked for build quality by a second engineer, is photographed for our records and is then signed off for dispatch
